About Torres
Torres is engineered rather than quarried. That is its advantage u2014 the colour is formulated, so the last slab of an order matches the first. Grey is the neutral that flatters almost every joinery colour, which is why it dominates commercial specification.
Torres is engineered for the places where consistency matters more than natural variation: fitted kitchens, hotel bathrooms, reception desks and any specification that runs across multiple units and has to match. Keep it out of permanent direct sun, which the resin does not tolerate indefinitely.
We supply Torres as jumbo slabs, standard slabs, countertops and vanity tops, in 12 mm, 15 mm, 20 mm and 30 mm, finished to your specification. Slabs are graded for shade before packing so a single order ships as one visual lot, and cut-to-size components are measured against the approved drawing before they leave the floor.

What is Torres best used for?
It is commonly specified for kitchen countertops, vanity tops, commercial worktops, wall cladding and reception desks. If your application is not on that list, ask u2014 the answer is often yes, with the right finish.
Does Torres vary between slabs?
Very little, and that is the point of an engineered surface. Torres is manufactured to a formula, so colour and pattern stay consistent between slabs and between production runs. It is the material to choose when an order has to match across many units.
Can Torres be used outdoors?
No. Engineered quartz is an interior material. The resin binder discolours under sustained ultraviolet light, so a permanently sun-exposed installation will shift in colour. For exterior work, use a granite.
How much maintenance does it need?
None beyond ordinary cleaning. The surface is non-porous, so it never needs sealing. Warm soapy water is enough. Avoid abrasive pads and do not put a hot pan straight onto it u2014 use a trivet, as resin does not like sudden heat.

Can I get a sample before ordering?
Yes. We send physical samples of any shade in the catalogue before you commit, and for larger orders we will photograph the actual slabs allocated to you prior to crating.
How is it packed for export?
Film wrapping, EPE foam between every surface, edge and corner protection, then heat-treated fumigated timber crates on moisture-resistant pallets. Loading is supervised and photographed before the container is sealed.
