Granite is an igneous rock — hard, dense and highly resistant to heat, scratching and weather, which makes it suitable indoors and out. Marble is metamorphosed limestone: softer and more porous, prized for its veining and generally specified for interior use. Quartz is an engineered surface, roughly 90–93% crushed natural quartz bound in resin, which makes it non-porous and consistent from slab to slab.
Granite and engineered quartz are both correct choices. Granite handles heat better and each slab is unique; quartz is non-porous, needs no sealing and stays consistent across a large kitchen or a repeat programme. Marble is generally not recommended for kitchen worktops because it etches on contact with acids.
Polished, honed, flamed, leathered, brushed, bush-hammered and sandblasted, depending on the material. Granite accepts the full range; marble is usually polished, honed, brushed or antiqued; quartz is available polished, honed, suede and concrete.
Granite and marble are commonly supplied at 15–20 mm and 30 mm; engineered quartz at 12, 15, 20 and 30 mm. Other thicknesses can be produced against a firm order — confirm requirements at enquiry stage.
Both. We supply gangsaw and cutter slabs, calibrated tiles, and cut-to-size components produced against your approved drawings — countertops, vanity tops, treads, risers and cladding panels with edge profiles and cut-outs completed before despatch.
Slabs are laid out and grouped by shade before packing so a single order ships as one visually coherent lot. For phased projects, tell us the total quantity at enquiry stage so material can be reserved from the same blocks.

Slabs are packed in seaworthy wooden crates with edge protection and moisture barriers, bundled by shade. Cut-to-size components are packed in installation sequence where the project schedule calls for it.
Yes. Sample pieces can be despatched for shade approval ahead of a firm order. Send the shade names you are considering along with your shipping address and we will confirm despatch.
